A tasty challenge cup tie saw Hunslet beat Brighouse by 14-12.
The Warriors started the game in style; Cameron Kilbride scoring the opening try.
A high bomb from Joe Maloney caught the full back napping.
Dropping the ball, Josh Lunn came within meters from scoring. On the next play, a wide ball opened the space out on the wing for Kilbride to stroll in. Harry Shackleton converted successfully giving Hunslet a 6-0 advantage.
The Warriors persisted in attack with Kilbride coming close to touching down again but was deemed in touch.
Brighouse claimed one back to level the scores but on the brink of half time, a clever play from the scrum put Will Sheen in.
Shackleton missed the conversion sending Hunslet to the sheds 10-6.
The second half showed Hunslet's character and belief under pressure. Brighouse took a two-point lead scoring out wide piling on the pressure.
Nevertheless, the Warriors were saved by the boot of Shackleton as he kicked two penalties from tough field postions to carry the blue and blacks to victory; the final score 14-12.
