Report | Hunslet Warriors 30-6 Moldgreen

A win for the Warriors' under 15s...

Despite the cold and windy conditions, Hunslet continued their climb up the table as they overcame bottom club Moldgreen, 30-6.

From kick off, the Warriors were in control of the game, terrorising the Moldgreen pack.

Isaac Kibidi started the scoring off after the Moldgreen backs didn't deal with a high bomb.

Collecting the bouncing ball well, Kibidi had only the full back to beat before strolling over the tryline.

Harry Shackleton slotted the conversion to give the Blues the lead.

Shackleton was the next to slide over the line for Hunslet, doubling their lead. Following his own dab kick into the right hand corner, Moldgreen fumbled the ball near the sideline. Grabbing the ball, the half back sneaked his way over.

As Moldgreen started to look as though they were gaining some composure, they were set back by a great team try from Hunslet.

Breaking down the left hand side, the ball was flung wide on the next play to Robbie Davidson.

Stepping back inside, the centre threw a pass to Oliver Hawkhead, who in turn offloaded to Kibidi who barged his way over the line.

Shackleton converted successfully to give Hunslet a three score lead of 18-0.

A sin bin for Moldgreen made matters worse as it left the green and ambers open out wide.

Cameron Kilbride took advantage of this space as he sprinted from short to score in the corner, extending the score to 24-0 at half time.

The second half became more of an arm wrestle as Moldgreen tightened up defensively. Shackleton extended Hunslet's lead further after the defence again, didn't deal with a high bomb.

In similar fashion, the number seven collected the ball to sprint under the posts to take the score to 30-0.

Moldgreen got one try back but the game was already beyond them as the Blue and Black’s took the victory; the final score 30-6.
