Crosfields delivers excellent NW Masters Festival
Masters Rugby League held the 2017 North West Festival at Crosfields, Warrington, last weekend. The rainy weather held off – as seems normal at Crosfields! – as almost 200 Masters from across the country again met up for fun and socialising.
With four pitches in operation, 13 teams took to the field with representatives from almost 20 clubs. Bank Quay joined in a festival for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed their day.
The end of Festival presentation included the first “Spirit of Masters” awards with Vic Logan and John Connell the first two recipients. The team of the festival award went to Hindpool from Barrow who travelled in numbers and scored their very first Masters try! Congratulations also Derek Hadley of Barrow Masters for his Master of the Festival trophy and to Dave from Leigh Miners who took the “Masters Moment” for the way he played in true Masters spirit throughout of the day.
Next up is the National Festival at Blackpool on September 9th. We already have teams booked overnight Saturday so they can enjoy the evening, Masters entertainment to the full.
